Prophet Adam (AS): The First Human and Prophet in Islam
Prophet Adam (AS) holds a significant place in Islamic history as the first human being created by Allah and the first prophet sent to guide mankind. Allah created him from clay and breathed life into him, making him the first of all human beings. He was placed in Paradise, but after being tempted by Iblis (Satan), Adam (AS) and his wife, Hawwa (Eve), were sent to Earth as a test for all of humanity.
The story of Adam (AS) teaches important lessons about repentance, the consequences of disobedience, and the mercy of Allah. When Adam (AS) ate from the forbidden tree, he sought forgiveness from Allah, who mercifully forgave him and gave him the role of a prophet to guide his descendants. His story emphasizes the significance of returning to Allah in repentance and the importance of following divine guidance.
