Dua for Protection

Arabic: بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
Transliteration: Bismillahil-ladhi la yadurru ma’asmihi shay’un fil-ardhi wa la fis-sama’i wa huwa as-Sami’ul-‘Aleem.
Meaning: In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing in the earth or heavens can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

Dua for Forgiveness

Arabic: أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ
Transliteration: Astaghfirullah wa atubu ilayh.
Meaning: I seek Allah’s forgiveness and turn to Him in repentance.

Dua for Knowledge

Arabic: رَبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا
Transliteration: Rabbi zidni ‘ilma.
Meaning: My Lord, increase me in knowledge.

Dua for Patience

Arabic: رَبَّنَا فَرِّغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وَانصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ
Transliteration: Rabbana afrigh ‘alayna sabran wa thabbit aqdamana wa-ansurna ‘ala al-qawmil-kafireen.
Meaning: Our Lord, pour upon us patience and make our steps firm and assist us against the disbelieving people.

Dua for Healing

Arabic: اللهم رب الناس أذهب البأس، اشفِ وأنت الشافي. لا شفاء إلا شفاؤك، شفاءً لا يغادر سقماً
Transliteration: Allahumma rabban-nas adhhib al-ba’sa, ashfi wa anta ash-shafi. La shifa’a illa shifa’uk, shifa’an la yughadiru saqaman.
Meaning: O Allah, the Lord of mankind, remove the harm and cure. You are the Healer, and there is no healing except Your healing, a cure that leaves no disease.

Arabic: أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ
Transliteration: A’udhu bi kalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq
Meaning: I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.

Meaning: “Our Lord, grant us from among our spouses and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous.”

Arabic: اللهم إني أعوذ بك من الهم والحزن، والعجز والكسل، والجبن والبخل، وغلبة الدين وقهر الرجال

Transliteration: Allahumma inni a’udhu bika minal-hammi wal-hazan, wal-‘ajzi wal-kasal, wal-jubni wal-bukhli, wa ghalabatid-dayni wa qahrir-rijal.

Meaning: “O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, weakness and laziness, miserliness and cowardice, the burden of debts, and the oppression of men.”

Arabic: لا إله إلا أنت، سبحانك إني كنت من الظالمين

Transliteration: La ilaha illa anta, subhanaka inni kuntu minaz-zalimeen.
